Frustrated with knives which either tore or squished my freshly baked bread and inspired by my father-in-law's homemade bread knife back in New Zealand, I embarked upon a mission to recreate and enhance it. The result? The Bowmaster®, an exceptional bread knife with an even thinner blade and an ergonomic handle.

The owl in my logo was inspired by the little Morepork owl, (Maori name Ruru), native to New Zealand, which lets out a soft whispery hoot from the trees every evening. The flowers and persimmons (sharon fruit) in the photos were from my garden in New Zealand and it still amazes me that so many beautiful tropical plants which grow there in abundance would be expensive luxuries for me in the UK.

The best precision tool in my kitchen ever
I bought this as a gift for my husband who is a butter lover, but hates when it is cold and just tears the bread when making a sandwich. I had heard how the 'butter crock' keeps butter spreadable so had to give it a go. It looks gorgeous and works great, much like my husband, result.
I love our new knives we bought one of each being a left hander! It is perfect when slicing sough dough loaves and will be so handy for our friends and house guests.
